Eithne Kennedy - Chief Executive Officer
Eithne Kennedy is CEO of Avenir Holdings Pte Ltd. She has more than twenty years’ international business experience, primarily in the areas of Corporate Communications, PR and Public Affairs, Crisis Management and Change Management. She has lived and worked in six countries across Europe and Asia-Pacific.
In her corporate career, Eithne held a senior position within the Tetra Pak Group, latterly as Director Corporate Communications and Public Affairs for the Asia-Pacific region, based in Singapore. Her responsibilities ranged from crisis management, lobbying at EU level, PR/publicity and event management to international media relations. Amongst other assignments, she was responsible for the Group’s relationship with key media, such as Financial Times, Wall Street Journal, CNN, The Economist, Business Week etc.
When she left the corporate sector to work in a more entrepreneurial capacity, she established Asian Pulse Ltd, based in Hong Kong. This strategic management consultancy worked with European corporations entering the China market - notably Alcatel Bell and the Burda Media Group.
Asian Pulse Ltd was a regular delegate to the World Economic Forum, a by-invitation-only convention of the world's leading business people and politicians. On several occasions, Eithne acted as a discussion leader at the Asia-Pacific summits of the Forum.
She was co-chair and moderator at the Women’s Forum for the Economy and Society’s inaugural conference in Shanghai, attended by more than 700 international business leaders. In recent years, Eithne has been a regular writer on management topics for 'Shanghai Daily', the leading English language newspaper in Shanghai and Eastern China.
A certified analyst of the Predictive Index® (PI) system, she is also a partner in QQ-Assessments™ - a proprietary strategic management tool - which is used to develop a balance sheet of intangibles in an organization.
She is author of: 'Smart Management; for ambitious, young, future managers', which has recently been translated into Chinese.
Eithne has an MBA from Edinburgh Business School (Heriot-Watt) as well as a Diploma in International Business (CIM) from INSEAD Business School, France and a BA from University College, Cork, Ireland.
She has both Irish and Swiss nationalities and speaks fluent French, some German and Italian.
